Take the historical journey along the Skippers Canyon road (an adventure in itself) to join a white-water rafting trip through the Shotover River Canyon. All the fun of the Shotover Canyon Combo, with a slight twist…the Skippers Canyon road! Getting to the Shotover River is half the fun with the narrow, winding and tight corners of the Skippers Canyon road. This road will have you on the edge of your seat as you take the journey that the gold miners did years’ before deep into Skipper Canyon. The launch point at deep creek may be a relief as you meet your expert guides to begin the white-water rafting tour. You will paddle your way down grade 3 – 5 rapids before finishing at Arthurs Point where the famous Shotover Jet awaits. Increase the pace as you speed through the lower section of the Shotover Canyons with Queenstown’s most popular jet boat ride. Then top it all off by playing with gravity and choosing one of the 70 jump styles at Shotover Canyon Swing! The price can vary according to visit date and time selected.  Day The climb departs from morning to late afternoon (after “dawn” and before “twilight”), exposing the hum and buzz of the city in full swing. 5 Things you need to know before your climb Health & Safety Your health and safety is important: If you are pregnant or have any pre-existing health conditions you may need to provide a doctor’s Certificate of Fitness note before you climb. You must have a blood-alcohol reading below 0.05 to climb (the same as if you are driving). You will be asked to complete a BridgeClimb Declaration Form before your Climb. Please be honest about your health so we can ensure your wellbeing is not at risk. All discussions will be confidential.  Preparations How should you prepare for your Climb: Ensure that you have eaten before your Climb and you’re well-hydrated – the experience can last up to 3 ½ hours. Wear comfortable, enclosed rubber-soled shoes such as running, sport or hiking shoes and don’t forget your sunglasses. It is recommend to wear comfortable clothing. You will be equipped with everything else you need for your Climb! Ensure you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled Climb time to allow enough time to check in. Personal Belongings All your personal belongings can be stored in lockers, including cameras: there are FREE secure lockers for you to keep your personal belongings in, including phones, cameras and GoPros. The Climb Leaders will capture photos of you during your Climb. For safety and security reasons, cameras, video technology and mobile devices are prohibited on the Climb. Restrictions You must be 8 years old and 1.2 metres in height, or taller: Children aged 8 to 15 must be accompanied by and are the responsibility of an adult, with a maximum of three children per adult.  Weather Conditions Climbs operate in all weather conditions: You will equipped with all the gear you need to keep you dry, but remember to bring your own shoes, which should be enclosed, like running shoes. In case of extreme weather conditions like electrical storms or during times of extremely high wind, Climbs may be postponed. 

ITINERARY : 06:30  - Depart Dublin from Suffolk Street by the Molly Malone statue 10:00  - Game Of Thrones – Dark Hedges 11:00  - Traverse the Carrick-a-Rede Rope bridge 12:30  - Lunch 13:30  - Giant’s Causeway UNESCO Heritage site 15:15  - Dunluce Castle tour ( self-guided )  - As seen in Game of Thrones 19:45  - Arrive back in Dublin You depart early morning from Dublin heading North. We will have a comfort break on the way and then head into the Northern Irish countryside. Along the drive you will visit the Dark hedges, a picturesque tree-lined road that looks as if it comes straight out of a story book. The Dark Hedges represents the King’s Road in the famous television series “Game of Thrones” and is an avenue of beech trees with branches hanging over the road.. Next we visit and cross Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge which connects a 23m-deep and 20m-wide chasm between the mainland and a small island that has been used over the years by fishermen to place netting to capture migrating salmon.  Following a 20 minute scenic cliff walk, you can traverse the bridge to the island with its abundance of birdlife, and to enjoy the spectacular coastal views from a different vantage point. After lunch it is time for The Giants Causeway which is the highlight of the trip . This UNESCO World Heritage site consists of a series of over 40,000 hexagonal shaped rocks that looks like a grand set of stairs leading into the sea, the formation of which has been astounding generations. These awe-inspiring stones have resulted in inspiring many a myth and stories surrounding their origin, some of which your guide will just to be happy tell you in full technicolour! After the amazing Giants Causeway we continue to the spectacular Dunluce Castle, precariously perched on Cliffside , once home of the notorious McDonnell clan! This tour includes a self guided tour of Dunluce where you will get an insight to its fascinating history and the peerless family who owned it. Finally, you will arrive back in Dublin at around dinner time to reminisce about your northern adventure.
