Sometimes due to soft sand dunes delays may occur. Tour is not suitable for pregnant women, people with back problems or infants. Infants 0-3 are free when travelling with an adult however do not occupy a seat and will not be provided meals on tour. Infants will not be accepted on the 4WD component of this tour. A parent will be require to disembark the coach with the infant for the 4WD component of the tour. Wildflower season commences September through to early November. Profusion of wildflowers depends on weather and other conditions, therefore we cannot guarantee sightings. Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring a hat and your camera. Tour may operate within a 4WD and/or coach, depending on passenger numbers. The adventure component of the tour will always operate in a 4WD vehicle.

We leave the central office of Cityrama on the Rue de Rivoli and drive via the Place de la Concorde, Champs Elysées as far as the Arc de Triomphe. You then drive towards the 16th district, known as one of the most prestigious areas in Paris. The first stop is at the quai de la Bourdonnais and you board your Bateaux Parisiens boat for a cruise with audio-commentary available in 12 languages along the River Seine. (Duration : 1 hour). On leaving the cruise you catch the famous Eiffel Tower lift as far as the 2nd floor. The tour ends at the Eiffel Tower. From Edinburgh you will travel west, passing the imposing Stirling Castle, high on its volcanic rock, and on to a visit at Doune Castle* (which featured in the cult movie ‘Monty Python and the Holy Grail’). From there journey into the Highlands, past Loch Lubnaig and up through impressive Glen Ogle, a steep glen that stretches for 7 miles, stopping nearby for lunch and beautiful views of the surrounding scenery.  After lunch venture further into the Highlands, stopping to view one of the most photographed castles in Scotland, Kilchurn Castle, nestled on the banks of beautiful Loch Awe and stunningly framed by the surrounding mountains. You will then journey to Inveraray, a small quaint town built in the mid-18th century on the shore of Loch Fyne.  Here we have time to explore the town and pick up some Highland souvenirs or pay an optional visit to Inveraray Castle*, the historic home of the Duke of Argyll, chief of the Clan Campbell, which is set in large beautiful gardens overlooking Loch Fyne.  You then start your homeward journey, driving over the Arrochar Alps, an attractive range of mountains, with a brief pause near the top of the Rest and Be Thankful Pass. A little later we reach enchanting Loch Lomond, where you can stop at the pretty lochside village of Luss before returning to Edinburgh.  *OPTIONAL EXTRA.
