Bond in Motion Exhibition The exhibition, in association with EON Productions Ltd, has been the most successful in the history of the London Film Museum. Originally scheduled to close in March 2015, it features over 100 original artefacts spanning all 23 Bond films, including vehicles, miniatures, concept art and storyboards. Highlights include iconic cars such as the Aston Martin DB5 from GoldenEye; the ‘Wet Nellie’ Lotus Esprit S1 from The Spy Who Loved Me; the Rolls-Royce Phantom III from Goldfinger; and the ‘Little Nellie’ Wallis WA-116 Agile autogyro from You Only Live Twice. Public demand for the exhibition has been so consistently high throughout the first year that museum management has decided to keep it open indefinitely. London Film Museum Founder and CEO, Jonathan Sands said: “Bond in Motion has far exceeded all our expectations and we’re delighted with the public’s reaction to it. It’s proved a huge hit with families, Bond lovers, movie fans and car nuts alike. We are looking forward to the coming year. Not only is it the 50th anniversary of Thunderball, but it’s also the year of the release of the latest adventure, SPECTRE.” New exhibits expected in 2015 include vehicles from the new Bond film, SPECTRE, currently in production and due for release later this year. The museum will also be celebrating the 50th anniversary year of Thunderball, the fourth Bond film, with new additions. The original, working Bell Rocket Belt ‘jet pack’ from the legendary pre-title sequence moment will be flown in from the USA and put on display alongside original concept art and never-before-seen materials from the Bond archive. Windsor Castle – ein gigantisches Schloss  Mit mehr als 1000 Zimmern, 4500 Quadratmetern Wohnfläche gehört das Windsor Castle zu den größten Gebäuden der Welt. 13Hektar beträgt die gesamte Größe des Grundstücks. Wilhelm der Eroberer erbaute die Burg nach der Schlacht in der Normandie zunächst aus Holz im Stil einer Motte (Holzburg). Im Jahr 1100 bezog Heinrich der VII die Räumlichkeiten. Er erweiterte die Burg, ersetzte das Holz durch Stein und funktionierte das Gemäuer zu seinem Königspalast um. Heimat zahlreicher Monarchen Einige der berühmtesten Monarchen Englands, darunter Heinrich VIII. und sein Vater Heinrich VII., die auch in der Schlosskirche ihre ewige Ruhe fanden, bewohnten Windsor Castle. Bis heute hatten insgesamt haben 39 englische Royals ihren offiziellen Wohnsitz im Palast. Windsor Castle war die Lieblingsresidenz von Königin Victoria und ihrem Ehemann Prinz Albert. Nach dessen Tod trug Victoria nur noch Schwarz und wurde vom Volk als die Witwe von Windsor bezeichnet. Heute ist das Schloss die Heimat von Königin Elizabeth II und wird jedes Jahr während der Osterzeit von der Königin und ihrem Ehemann Prinz Philip bewohnt. Zusammen mit dem Holyrood Palace ist das Schloss ist auch die Residenz der Königin an freien Wochenenden.   Besuchen Sie Windsor Castle Das Schloss ist das ganze Jahr über für Besucher geöffnet. Es öffnet um 09:30 Uhr und schließt um 17:30 Uhr. In den Wintermonaten (November bis Februar) öffnet das Schloss etwas später um 09:45 Uhr und schließt um 16:15 Uhr. Die Wachablösung findet jeden Morgen zwischen 11:00 und 11:30 Uhr statt. Schlossführungen sind gerade in den Sommermonaten sehr beliebt und dauern in der Regel zwei bis drei Stunden. Das Highlight im Jahr 2018: Die königliche Hochzeit Am 19. Mai 2018 fand im Windsor Castle die königliche Hochzeit von Prinz Harry und seiner Braut Megan Markle statt. Die Hochzeit wurde in der St. George's Chapel abgehalten. Die Kapelle wurde ursprünglich im 14. Jahrhundert von Edward dem VIII. erbaut, bevor sie im 15. Jahrhundert großzügig erweitert wurde. In der Kapelle finden jetzt mehr als 800 Gäste Platz und sie war Schauplatz vieler königlicher Hochzeiten, Taufen und Beerdigungen. Die Hochzeit von Prinz Charles von Wales und Camilla Parker Bowles, sowie der Taufe von Prinz Harry waren bedeutende Ereignisse der jüngeren Vergangenheit. Im Herbst 2018 wird in der Kapelle auch die Hochzeit von Prinzessin Eugenie und Jack Brooksbank stattfinden.

This is a sacred mountain, as for over a thousand years there was a Christian pilgrimage. There’s much to know about Sliabh League, like the monks who went to Iceland or the eagle and the baby! The scenery all the way up to the Cliffs is spectacular with views of the Atlantic and the Sligo Mountains out in the distance. You also have a great view overlooking Donegal Bay. As you reach the summit you are rewarded with the most beautiful sight of the walk - the cliff face of Bunglas (which simply means "End of Cliff"). See the ruins of a watchtower (as per video below) at the end of Carrigan Head on your journey up also. This watchtower was constructed to defend the northwest coast during the early 19th century when there was the threat of a Napoleonic attack. We then pass through a lovely village called Carrick, before reaching a small harbour village called Teelin. Teelin has a famous Pub called "The Rusty Mackerel" where we stop for a rest. The name of the rusty mackerel came about because way back when there was no refrigeration, they would salt the mackerel in wooden barrels and this way they would keep for months on end without losing their freshness. One of these barrels can be seen still standing outside the front of the pub! Visit historic Donegal Town - home of the O'Donnell Clan and Donegal Castle, and is situated just on the edge of Donegal Bay. The centre of town, known locally as 'The Diamond', is surrounded by bustling cafes, shops, and bars. Stop at Killybegs Harbour which has long been acknowledged as Ireland’s leading fishing port, and a stroll along the pier gives a chance to admire the fishing boats, net menders, and perhaps even catch a glimpse of the seals.
